As one of Canada’s most successful employment programs, JobWave’s aim is to help income-assistance recipients in British Columbia achieve their full potential with individualized support services.
JobWave is delivered by Buxton Consulting Ltd. for WCG International HR Solutions, a Canadian subsidiary of Providence Service Corporation, in partnership with the B.C. Ministry of Social Development and more than 300 community-based service providers.
The program’s success has reached over 200 communities across the province, changing the lives of thousands, strengthening economies and paving the way for a brighter future for all British Columbians.
We offer a wide range of services with significant one-on-one support to help income assistance recipients achieve their employment goals. These services include:
- Needs assessments and the development of targeted, individualized action plans
- Resume writing, employment and life skills workshops, interview tips and career counselling
- Job leads and job boards
- Financial support for items related to the client’s barriers and job search
- On-going follow-up to ensure job retention
