Employment Specialist
1 position – Fraser Valley, BC
Provide Skills Training Employment services including:
Working with individuals with complex barriers and a broad range of cultural backgrounds
Intake and assessments; action plan development; pre-employment services, supports and coaching; job search assistance; indigenous cultural components
Develop Skills Training plans
Coordinate Employment Experience Services: wage subsidy; direct employer supports; post job placement supports
Provide accessible and inclusive one to one meetings and group workshops in person, by phone and through virtual technology methods
Administration of participant financial supports
Liaise actively with employer and community partners.
Conduct outreach with community service organizations
Assist in completing reports and evaluations
Demonstrated computer skills, proficient in MS Office suite
Observe confidentiality and demonstrate ethical standards
Education/Skills/Experience:
· A minimum of 2 years’ acquired experience
· Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant discipline
Other Qualifications:
· Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and reliable vehicle with a clean driver’s abstract
· Vulnerable sector criminal record check
· Facilitation experience would be an asset
